The programme consists of a number of modules which have been developed through the School of Nursing in partnership with Centres of Nursing \ Midwifery Education.  The modules have been developed mainly for nurses who are registered with An Bord Altranais and currently practising in a relevant health-care setting.  The module content will enable nurses to enhance, develop and extend their knowledge in the nursing management of people with chronic illness.

The modules have been developed within the Professional Development (Stand Alone) module structure within the School of Nursing, DCU.  However, the modules will carry credit towards the BNS, or provide students with credits which can be used when applying for APL (Accreditation of Prior Learning) towards post graduate studies should they pursue further education.

For more information on any of the above programmes please contact the Programme Coordinator, Deirdre Corby, on 01 7008524 or email: Deirdre.corby@dcu.ie or alternatively your local NMPDU or Centre of Nurse Education.
